Quick answers
A phone quote can get you a ballpark. An accurate number needs someone standing in front of the door.
Spring and cable jobs are usually priceable over the phone once we know the door's size and whether it's one spring or two. Anything involving a bent track, a panel that's been hit, or an opener that's dead with no clear cause - we need eyes on it first, because two different problems can look identical from a homeowner's side of the garage.
We don't guess on openers sight unseen and quote a number we'll have to change at the door. That's worse for you than just scheduling the look.
Our team
We're a garage door repair and service outfit based on Shreveport Barksdale Hwy, working residential doors across the Shreveport area. No franchise script, no upsell quota - just the work in front of us. A lot of the houses we get called to were built between 1981 and 1996, which is the bulk of the housing stock across Lakeview, Broadmoor, Sunset Acres, and the other neighborhoods we cover. That means original torsion springs and openers that are past their expected life on a huge share of these doors, and it shapes what we carry on the truck and what we quote for.
We don't do new-home builder installs or commercial rolling steel doors - if that's what you need, say so up front and we'll tell you plainly whether it's a fit.
Common jobs
Broken torsion springs, snapped cables, openers that hum but won't lift, rollers that have worn through their track, and panels dented enough that the door binds.
On the older end of the local stock - houses from the 1980s and early 90s - we also see a lot of original hardware that's simply worn out rather than broken outright: bearings, worn cable drums, off-brand openers nobody stocks parts for anymore.
What we need for an accurate quote: the door's rough age or your neighborhood (helps us guess the hardware era), whether it's a single or double door, whether one or both springs let go, and whether the opener still has power.
Photos help more than a phone description ever does. What we can't price sight unseen: anything where the track is bent, the header's damaged, or the door came off its rollers - those need a look before we'll put a number on it.
Questions
For straightforward jobs like a broken spring or snapped cable, yes, once we know your door size and whether it's a single or double spring. For bent track, panel damage, or an opener that's dead with no clear cause, we need to see it in person before we'll give you a firm number.
Your door's rough age or neighborhood, whether it's a single or double door, what the door is actually doing (won't open, off track, one spring snapped), and whether the opener still has power. A couple of photos help us narrow it down before we even get there.
Yes. We cover the surrounding areas including Blanchard, Stonewall, Haughton, Benton, Greenwood, and the neighborhoods closer in like Broadmoor, South Highlands, and Sunset Acres. If you're unsure whether your address is in range, just call and ask.
A bent track can mean anything from a quick straightening to a full track replacement, and the difference in cost is real. We'd rather look at it once than quote low and have to change the number at your door.
